About us.

We’re AD/01, the tech studio that builds the future of food retail. Whether it’s in-store aisles, online baskets, or behind-the-scenes operations, we innovate the daily food experiences for farmers and families, grandmas and greengrocers, and pickers and packers alike.

We’re part of the Ahold Delhaize network, one of the world’s largest global food retail groups and a leader in both supermarkets and e-commerce. With 19 strong local brands in Europe, the United States, and Indonesia, we create a meaningful difference for our customers, our people, and the world around us. And we’re looking for the freshest minds excited to create the recipe for change.

The studio that builds the future of food retail.

Why do it with us?

We make sure you have all the tools and support you need.

We're a welcoming group of code crunching comrades.

We tap into the extensive capabilities of our Ahold Delhaize network.

What does this mean for you?

Your new role and environment.

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Back-End Developer to join our development team responsible for the continuous improvement of the Gall & Gall and Etos e-commerce platforms.

As part of a team of front-end developers, testers, and back-end developers, you’ll work on implementing scalable, high-performance features within the Salesforce Commerce Cloud ecosystem. You understand the architecture behind SFCC (preferably SFRA), and know how to design and build clean, modular back-end logic that supports seamless front-end experiences and business processes.

This is a hands-on development role for someone who understands the full lifecycle of e-commerce development — from cartridges and controllers to complex integrations and performance tuning.

Key responsibilities of your role.

  • Develop and maintain SFCC back-end functionality- build and extend cartridges, controllers and server-side logic using SFRA, ISML, and JavaScript, ensuring clean and scalable architecture.
  • Create and manage custom REST/SOAP API integrations, job scheduling, and third-party service connections to support end-to-end eCommerce processes.
  • Design and maintain a performant, modular SFCC architecture that can scale across large traffic and transaction volumes.
  • Work closely with front-end developers, testers, and product owners; participate in code reviews, and follow Git-based version control and deployment pipelines.
  • Use CI/CD tools to support safe and efficient deployments, maintain clean code standards, and ensure platform stability and maintainability.

What’s in it for you?

We ask a lot. (We’re looking for the best, after all). But we offer a lot, too.

So, what do we have in store for you? We offer flexible hours and a hybrid working model, allowing you to work both from home and at the office. We provide competitive benefits to support health, well-being and your professional growth. This includes: a significant budget on benefit platform and a yearly bonus. At AD01 we welcome everyone, just the way you are, and encourage individual growth with valuable opportunities and a worldwide across-brand network.

Requirements.

We think you’ll be best geared for success if you can meet the following requirements:

  • Proven experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) back-end development
  • In-depth knowledge of SFRA, ISML, cartridges, controllers, and server-side JavaScript
  • Experience with custom integrations (REST/SOAP APIs), job scheduling, and third-party services
  • Strong grasp of scalable architecture and performance optimization in SFCC
  • Familiar with version control (Git), deployment pipelines, and code reviews
  • Comfortable working in agile teams and collaborating with front-end developers, testers, and product owners
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools

Bonus:

  • Experience in the retail or e-commerce domain

It goes without saying that so-called ‘soft skills’ are just as important as their ‘hard’ cousins. We highly value:

  • Experience working within a matrix-style structure with international teams.
  • Provide hands-on, expert level technical assistance to developers.
  • Be flexible, reliable and have a true hands-on mentality.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Team player; involves others, shares knowledge and seeks opportunities for cross functional working and collaboration.
  • Creative; identifies solutions and selects the best combination of practices by taking an innovative approach to problem solving.
  • Builds trust with colleagues, clients & vendors.
  • Must be results oriented; demonstrates a “can-do” attitude – adaptability, flexibility and resourcefulness.
  • Adaptable to situations and different/multicultural environments.
  • Excellent command of the English language both written & spoken.
