Senior Data Engineer

Your new role and environment.

As a Data Engineer with a strong focus on data management, you will be responsible for storing, organizing, accessing, and retrieving data from various sources. Your data management intuition will be essential as you engineer data to present it effectively to end-users.

At GET (Gall & Etos Tech), we are organized as a platform-based product organization, where GET is one of the business platforms. We are a dynamic, interdisciplinary team of engineers and analysts providing meaningful data solutions for our customers, and we are not afraid to innovate.

Key responsibilities of your role.

• Enhance our data platform to improve data quality and data management
• Provide a platform that structures data into a scalable and easily understood architecture
• Work in a multidisciplinary team to build a platform used by data engineer peers to create impactful business solutions
• Implement and build methodologies, and scale them together with the business
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology and market developments for inspiration and benchmarking

Requirements.

• Proven hands-on data engineering experience
• Extensive ETL experience (including Azure Data Factory)
• Extensive exposure to Microsoft Azure (or equivalent) Data Platform environments
• Fluent in Python and SQL
• Experience with Spark/Databricks
• Familiarity with Github and Github Actions
• Proactive, hands-on mindset
• Fluent in English (Dutch is a bonus!)
• Eager to implement stories, work on backlogs, meet stakeholders, and document stories
• Experience working closely with Product Owners to create roadmaps and stories
• Ability to collaborate with other engineers to align interactions with other products
