Network Security Engineer

Your new role and environment:
As a Network security engineer within the BeCSE Infrastructure engineering team, you contribute directly by working in close collaboration with the local brand teams from BeCSE to enable business value.

• You will be directly involved in the execution and delivery of the IT and Business projects.
• You will have the opportunity to take the lead on one or more network security technologies.

Of course, you do not do this alone, but together with your Network product team colleagues in and outside BeCSE and the business and technology stakeholders.

As a Network and Network Security Engineer, you’ll be joining our AD/01 tech studio and will be part of the Infrastructure Network & Network Security Engineering team, which is one of the 3 teams of the Regional IT Infrastructure Center of Excellence (the Infrastructure Platforms and the Infrastructure Operations Team).  The IT Infrastructure CoE provides services to all companies that operate under the banner of Ahold Delhaize in Belgium/Luxembourg and the South-Eastern European region (Serbia, Romania, Greece, Czech Republic).

You will report to the Network Security Product Manager.

Key responsibilities of your role:

Your role will entail multi-faceted responsibilities. Here are some key ones:

• Design, build & implement network security, system & data controls.
• Monitor & configurate management tools.
• Serve as a reference for corporate network and network security and as such guide Enterprise & Solution Architects to incorporate security into local and regional solution architectures & designs.
• Advance the automation of our network and network security. Further contribute to the standardization, simplification, and automation to enable self-service and digitization for enterprise users.
• Partner with an Information Security Office (ISO) to align network architecture and infrastructure strategy with ISO policies and procedures.
• Perform L3 support: lead troubleshooting efforts to analyze and resolve P1/P2 faults, perform threat analysis and risk management, elevate network and network security-related operational processes, develop and execute test and DR plans to check infrastructure and systems technical performance.
• Keep up to date with the trends in the market, the technology and methodologies.
• Maintain relationships with the supplier and internal/external stakeholders regarding licenses, costs, support model etc.
• Share the best practices in the Network Security community at local, regional and/or global level.
• Ensure that systems, tools and processes are compliant with the IT policies and baselines and take actions to ensure compliance.

Requirements:
So, what do you need to bring to the table? Here’s what we’re looking for in our new colleague. But, even if you don’t tick all the boxes and strongly believe you’re right for the job, please also apply.
  

• Master’s degree in computer sciences, or equivalent through experience.
• Strong knowledge of Network Security Systems.
• With experience in agile practices. Agile certification or equivalent experience is an asset.
• Network experience - Cisco routers and switches, SDWAN, Wi-Fi, Ethernet.
• Network security experience – firewalls, proxy servers, reverse proxy servers, Intrusion Detection System, and virtual private networks (IPSEC and SSL).
• Cloud networking and DevOps experience is a plus.
• Basic knowledge and/or experience with Jira / Confluence / GitHub / MS Teams …. is a plus.
• Fluent in English both verbal and written, with great presentation and communication skills.
