The studio that builds the future of food retail.

Why do it with us?

We make sure you have all the tools and support you need.

We're a welcoming group of code crunching comrades.

We tap into the extensive capabilities of our Ahold Delhaize network.

What does this mean for you?

Your new role and environment.

The Business Analyst is responsible for capturing business needs from key business stakeholders and translating these into clear business requirements.

In this role, you are responsible for understanding the E2E business processes and you’re expected to clearly elicit business expectations (a.o. service level agreement) that will help to shape the solution design.

As Business Analyst, you’ll be joining our Data Insights & Analytics department.

The Data Insights & Analytics team is responsible for the design, development and operation of the regional Azure Data Platform and is supporting the local business/brands and IT teams in generating value from their data assets.

You’ll have a wonderful combination of freedom and responsibility so that you can take ownership of the work that you do. You’ll find your horizons broadening, too, thanks to working with people as smart and encouraging as you but from different countries and areas of expertise. You’ll always feel supported, too. We want people who are better than us and we’ll do everything we can – building your talent and skills – to help you stay ahead.

Key responsibilities of your role.

  • You’re usually involved in the very early stages of projects (“Explore” phase) to support the scoping of initiatives. You rely on your strong business acumen and your high-level understanding of technology solutions to challenge the business needs.
  • In this context, you have regular interactions with different business stakeholders to capture their needs and ensure the consistency of the requirements
  • You’re also acting as a change agent in the organization hence ensuring the adoption of new or updated processes
  • On a day-to-day basis, you’re aligning with the Solution Architect(s) to design scalable and cost-effective solutions by highlighting both functional and non-functional requirements. You actively contribute to establishing the right context to reach the “Definition of Ready” for the features to be delivered.

What’s in it for you?

We ask a lot. (We’re looking for the best, after all). But we offer a lot, too.

So, what do we have in store for you? We offer flexible hours and a hybrid working model, allowing you to work both from home and at the office. We provide competitive benefits to support health, well-being and your professional growth. This includes: a significant budget on benefit platform and a yearly bonus. At AD01 we welcome everyone, just the way you are, and encourage individual growth with valuable opportunities and a worldwide across-brand network.

Requirements.

We think you’ll be best geared for success if you can meet the following requirements:

  • Mandatory prior work experience of minimum 5 years
  • Business Process Modelling (ex: BPMN) / UML skills
  • Proven experience in requirements engineering
  • Understanding of IT architecture and solution design principles, preferably in a data oriented ecosystem
  • Basic of IT architecture and software development lifecycle
  • Business analysis training / certification
  • Excellent command of the English language both written & spoken.

It goes without saying that so-called ‘soft skills’ are just as important as their ‘hard’ cousins. We highly value:

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex matters into simple concepts
  • Teamwork and ability to operate within a large team in a matrix organization: involves others, shares knowledge and seeks opportunities for cross functional working and collaboration
