Solution Consultant

Your new role and environment.

Your main mission is to understand, analyse, translate and guide business requirements into SAP solutions and to coordinate the deployment of the solution.

You make sure the IT solutions for the business are well delivered with minimal issues while continuously taking the business values into account in the solution delivery process. By ensuring our business operations are working seamlessly, you have a direct impact on the company's performance and results.

You will be part of the Regional IT  Organization, which offers IT services in multiple countries (Belgium, Romania, Greece, Serbia).

You will also act as a liaison between the Core retail Platform organization and the Finance departments of the different Operating Companies in scope, in collaboration with the local IT Demand organization.

Key responsibilities of your role.

• Solution design & strategy: Translate business needs into advanced capabilities by leveraging best-in-class standard packages and supporting the regional technology roadmap.
• Functional specification & configuration: Define functional requirements and WRICEF specifications, configuring systems to deliver scalable, multi-format, and multi-country solutions.
• End-to-end delivery: Manage the full project lifecycle from application design through to Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Global team coordination: Partner with offshore development teams to ensure technical builds align with functional specs, quality standards, and unit testing protocols.
• Operational support & administration: Provide Level 3 functional support, troubleshooting, and application administration for European operating companies in alignment with vendor organizations.
• Business transformation & change: Support change management through organizational transformation, end-user training content, and cross-module integration with peers.
• Continuous improvement & innovation: Proactively identify system enhancements and monitor technology trends to improve business processes and the overall user experience.

Requirements.

• Understanding of financial business processes is a must
• At least 3 years of experience in SAP GL, AP, AR, AA, TAX  (customization, SIT/UAT, MTP) is a must
• Knowledge of SAP FX-RE is a plus
