The Stores & Supply Chain Platform team is crucial for Albert Heijn's digital transformation, ensuring that the technology behind its stores and supply chain is modern, efficient, and able to support the company's goals.
You will be part of the Energy & IOT tech team working on Energy Management use cases involving Azure, Thingsboard, Kafka, Kotlin / Python etc.
Key responsibilities of your role.
As Backend & IOT engineer you will:
Work on extracting data from devices or APIs and inserting the data into our IOT core
Enrich and integrate data from different sources to enable our business to gain better insights.
Deploy and manage the cloud resources needed for our product, using our paved road technologies and pipelines.
Support the onboarding of new assets
Visualize data sets

Requirements.
We think you’ll be best geared for success if you can meet the following requirements:
Experience as a Backend Developer, IoT Engineer, DevOps Engineer or similar roles.
Some experience with JavaScript or similar
You have hands-on experience in Java (Kotlin) or Python and REST APIs – with a good understanding of containerisation.
Next to these, the below items will help you excel further in the role:
Experience with designing and building event driven applications, and you have experience with Kafka or similar brokers.
Professional experience working in an IoT context or the Energy Market.
Experience working with Thingsboard.
