We're a welcoming group of code crunching comrades.

We tap into the extensive capabilities of our Ahold Delhaize network.

What does this mean for you?

Your new role and environment.

As a Data Analytics Engineer, you will ensure a reliable, scalable, and high-quality data foundation for digital product analytics by bridging the gap between data architecture and analytics. Partner with product, analytics, and engineering teams to translate tracking needs into robust datasets that enable faster, smarter decisions across all digital experiences.

Key responsibilities of your role.

  • Translate product and business needs into clear tracking specifications
  • Collaborate with developers (FE web, FE app, FE kiosk, backend) to implement and QA tracking logic
  • Align instrumentation with standardized naming conventions and taxonomies
  • Proactively audit existing tracking and identify broken, missing, or outdated tags
  • Act as the owner of tagging governance, resolving conflicts or ambiguities in event definitions
  • Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, dbt, or PySpark
  • Maintain pipeline orchestration using tools like Airflow, Databricks Workflows, or similar
  • Write modular code that supports dataset versioning and testing
  • Troubleshoot data quality or latency issues at source, transformation, or delivery layers
  • Publish curated datasets and metrics to analytics and BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Looker, notebooks)
  • Maintain and update data dictionaries, metric definitions, and lineage documentation
  • Host enablement sessions to help teams adopt and understand available datasets
  • Standardize naming conventions and semantic layers across key domains
  • Support the development of onboarding or certification materials for data users
  • Set up automated data quality checks (nulls, schema drift, outliers) in pipelines
  • Build dashboards to monitor tagging health, data latency, and volume anomalies
  • Respond to incidents and lead root-cause investigations for data-related issues
  • Coordinate with infrastructure and security teams on platform-wide changes
  • Contribute to CI/CD processes to catch issues before they impact production
  • Ensure tagging and data pipelines adhere to data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and internal data security standards.
  • Attend quarterly prioritization (PI planning) and rituals to represent the data perspective and shape backlog priorities
  • Work with analysts and PMs to define success metrics and A/B testing parameters
  • Validate that experiments are tracked correctly and that exposure logic is implemented
  • Translate technical product flows into measurable constructs (e.g., funnel steps, engagement)
  • Anticipate future data needs based on roadmap visibility and experimentation trends

What’s in it for you?

We think you’ll be best geared for success if you can meet the following requirements:

  • Sets data engineering and data architecture strategy across multiple domains or brands
